What are the policies during the stay?
Our most important policy is to make you feel comfortable and secure in our vacation home. If you have questions or need help, contact us. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge having read and agreed to the additional rules below.
- The home is located on farmland. Water is provided from an onsite well with a full filtration and softening system.
- This is not a party property and hosted events are prohibited. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- No large events or parties (per SLO County, the maximum number of people permitted onsite during the day is 12 including guests; the maximum number to spend the night as guests is 10). If occupancy or noise ordinances are broken, guests are subject to expulsion and fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
- No smoking or vaping of any substance is permitted inside or outside the house. Violations will result in immediate guest expulsion and a $1,000 fine.
- Pool is heated year-round to the upper 80s. No glass bottles, cups, or plates may be used in the pool area. Children cannot be around the pool without an adult present. All children under age 10 and all adults who cannot swim must wear a life preserver (not provided onsite). No swimming at night without full supervision of a proficient swimmer and with all lights illuminated. No running or diving at any time around the pool. Keep the pool cover on when not in use, day or night. Floors are very slick when wet—dry off sufficiently before entering the house. No alcohol drinking while swimming. No underage alcohol consumption; alcohol consumption must be kept in moderation at all times.
- Children/infants under age 5 must be supervised by an adult at all times and not left alone in any room unless sleeping. Any damage or liability incurred by children will be the sole responsibility of their parent(s), not the homeowner.
- Service animals are allowed under ADA rules at no charge. Service animal handlers must answer the ADA’s two-question survey. Emotional support animals are not considered service animals per the ADA and are not permitted. Service animals may not be left at the house unattended and must remain with their handlers at all times, including on day trips.
- There may be wildlife onsite, including hawks, squirrels, owls, field snakes, frogs, crickets, and bugs. Guests and children must not walk in areas outside the farmhouse perimeter. We recommend using bug spray and sunscreen when outdoors around the pool and patio areas.
- In emergency situations (including but not limited to national emergencies, pandemics, flooding, power outages, civil unrest, storms, or other acts of God), the owners and/or property manager will do their best to keep guests informed. Full or partial refunds will not be granted for events outside the owners’/property manager’s control unless there is a local or state government declaration of emergency that requires refunds to all guests. The house is not equipped with backup power.
